New Setlist For those who don't know, or who only know me as a comic book person, I am involved with college radio. I was music director for a little over a year, am currently assistant music director, I have a "regular shift" as a dj playing a set playlist during the week, and I have a "specialty show" on saturdays from 10pm-1am playing a freeform radio show mix of experimental, electronic, rock, hip hop, jazz etc- whatever i'm in the mood for. I've been doing this show or one like it for the last 4 years, so it's kind of second nature to me at this point.. I don't plan out my playlists ahead of time, I just grab a bunch of cds I think I might feel like playing and bring them to the station and see what happens. Some weeks it's great & I'm really feeling it, some weeks it's all wrong & I can't do anything right, my mixes are all hamfisted, and I just want to go home. This week was pretty good, I guess. There was the added bonus of having some strange phone calls- one from a girl named "diana" who claimed to have had a very meaningful night with me at a local club a few weeks back. I can only assume this is a case of mistaken identity, or even creepier: someone is using my name to get laid!! I swear, if someone is getting laid offa my name, it oughtta be me! I can't even get laid using my name!
